A Journal of the Plague Years: Pt. 3

Tuesday, June 25, at 2 PM on KPFK: This week I air the third in a series produced for our June 2024 Fund Drive, edited to combine discussion, performance and, yes, celebration of a terrific new book and, of course, an enduring and essential radio station. Please donate to KPFK and do purchase a copy of A Journal of the Plague Years. It’s a compendium of work which developed out of the excellent online journal founded by writer Susan Zakin. In this episode we’ll hear more from novelist and and memoirist Steve Erickson, who reads from the book which came out of the journal, American Stutter. Then, poet Maxine Chernoff, reading three poems and sharing stories of Covid and both creative and political life.
