Roy Zimmerman on “A Mighty Little Song”

Tuesday, July 9, at 2 PM on KPFK: My guest this week is the singer-songwriter Roy Zimmerman, who with his partner and collaborator Melanie Harby, has written hundreds of funny, smart, politically inspired songs. Their song parody “Vote Him Away (The Liar Tweets Tonight)” has had over 140 million views online. Together, they have produced eleven albums. The latest is This Machine: The Best of Roy Zimmerman, a double album featuring 25 songs from Roy's 25 years as a solo artist. Roy joins me to talk about his music and his latest project, a Substack column on music and politics called “A Mighty Little Song.” Longtime listeners know that Zimmerman’s music has engaged and inspired this fan for decades.
